The Lugano region has been positioned for several years in the panorama of favorite destinations for professionals and sports lovers; an activity that goes hand in hand with the natural beauty of the area, creating a combination that can offer great emotions to fans as well. A few weeks before the official start of the National League hockeystic season , Lugano Region announces that it has signed a collaboration agreement withHockey Club Lugano for the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 seasons.
From next season, the Lugano Region logo will be featured on the team's jerseys, accompanying theHockey Club Lugano players during games throughout Switzerland. A symbol of Lugano Region's support, which will not be confined to the playing rink alone.
Lugano Region President Paolo Filippini expresses immense satisfaction with the agreement reached: "We are happy to supportHockey Club Lugano, a team that plays in the most important national field hockey league, representing our territory and carrying the name of our beautiful city. I would like to mention that its commitment as a sports club aligns with one of Lugano Region's priority objectives: to promote the territory and sports by highlighting its excellence."
The President ofHockey Club Lugano, Vicky Mantegazza, is also positive about this: "TheHockey Club Lugano has always been very proud to represent the City of Lugano and the Lugano area throughout Switzerland and, at various international competitions, even around Europe. Personally, I have always attached great importance to this task of being an ambassador of our beautiful area. For this reason, I am particularly happy about the new collaboration with Lugano Region and I am convinced that both societies will really benefit from it."
Lugano Region Director Massimo Boni points out that this is not exclusively a sponsorship, but rather a collaboration aimed at creating synergies: "The goal is to encourage overnight stays in the Lugano region when theHockey Club Lugano will be playing at home. The potential increase in overnight stays by fans of opposing teams reconfirms the goal of deseasonalization that Lugano Region has been pursuing for some time now for tourism 12 months a year."
