Hockey Club Lugano reports that it has signed Czech defender Lukas Klok ("left", 185 cm x 90 kg) born in Ostrava 07.07.1995 on a contract valid until the end of the 2022/23 season.
Growing up in Vitkovice, a club where he played until 2018, Klok played a U18 World Cup and a U20 World Cup with his country's representative team at a young age.
After a championship in the KHL with Slovan Bratislava and two years in Finland with Lukko Rauma (one Finnish national title, 107 games, 48 points), he returned last season to the KHL in the colors of Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk.
This past summer Klok participated in the Arizona Coyotes NHL franchise camp, playing four games in October with the Tucson Roadrunners farm team in the AHL, before returning to Europe in mid-November where he played with Ängelholm's Rögle BK, last year's Champions Hockey League (CHL) winning team.
Highlights of Klok's career have also been his participation with the Czech Republic in the 2021 World Cup in Riga and the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing.
Lukas will be available to the technical staff as early as tonight in Geneva.
