TheHockey Club Lugano reports that captain Mark Arcobello underwent instrumental examinations yesterday after the injury suffered in the second half of Sunday night's game in Bern.
The 34-year-old U.S. center unfortunately suffered a compound fracture in the lateral malleolus of his left ankle. From the evaluation carried out by the medical staff, a conservative treatment was decided upon. Recovery time for a return to the track is about six weeks.
As for the other players on the team forced to the pits in the last few games (Wolf, Gerber, Walker), the situation is being evaluated from day to day.
Having returned from his previous upper-body problem against the Langnau Tigers, Marco Müller suffered during the same game a new lower-body injury that kept him out against Bern and will keep him out tonight in Rapperswil. In his case, too, the situation is being reassessed day by day.
